AI Acculturation Webinar
You hear about Artificial Intelligence everywhere, but do you really know what it is? This webinar is designed for everyone, whether you are technical or not. The goal is simple: to demystify AI. We will explain what this technology is, what it is used for, and how it works, without using complicated jargon. We will see that AI is not magic: it needs a lot of data and energy to function. We will also address important questions: Is it reliable? What are the risks for confidentiality? What are the new European rules? This is an introductory, simple, and friendly training session.

What you will learn
- Simply understand what AI is and the difference between classic AI and generative AI (the one that creates content).
- Know why data quality is essential for good results.
- Identify the main risks (errors, confidentiality) and know the basic rules to respect.
- Understand the impact of AI on the environment (energy consumption).
Prerequisites
- No prior technical knowledge is required.
- A computer with internet access.
- A way to listen to the audio (speakers or headphones).
Target audience
- All collaborators, regardless of your role (technical, functional, support...).
Training Program
4 modules to master the fundamentals
Topics covered
- →Brief history of AI: from 1950 to today.
- →The main concepts explained simply: Machine Learning (the machine learns from examples), Deep Learning (the machine recognizes complex things), Generative AI (the machine creates new content).
- →How does it work? Understanding the principle of 'predicting the next word'.
Topics covered
- →The 3 essential ingredients: Algorithms, Computing Power, and especially Data.
- →Attention to quality: If you give bad information to the AI, it will give bad results ('Garbage in, garbage out').
- →Biases: Be aware of the stereotypes that AI can reproduce.
Topics covered
- →Responsible AI: It's not magic, you have to check the sources and be careful with confidential data.
- →The law: Simple presentation of the AI Act (the new European regulation) and risk levels.
- →Ecology: An AI query consumes much more energy than a Google search. How to use it reasonably?
Topics covered
- →We are here to answer all your questions.
Quality Process
SFEIR Institute's commitment: an excellence approach to ensure the quality and success of all our training programs. Learn more about our quality approach
- Lectures / Theoretical Slides — Presentation of concepts using visual aids (PowerPoint, PDF).
- Technical Demonstration (Demos) — The instructor performs a task or procedure while students observe.
- Quiz / MCQ — Quick knowledge check (paper-based or digital via tools like Kahoot/Klaxoon).
The achievement of training objectives is evaluated at multiple levels to ensure quality:
- Continuous Knowledge Assessment : Verification of knowledge throughout the training via participatory methods (quizzes, practical exercises, case studies) under instructor supervision.
- Progress Measurement : Comparative self-assessment system including an initial diagnostic to determine the starting level, followed by a final evaluation to validate skills development.
- Quality Evaluation : End-of-session satisfaction questionnaire to measure the relevance and effectiveness of the training as perceived by participants.
